St Thomas Children’s Home gets a New Speed Queen Washer

St Thomas Home for Children, located in Sydenham, KZN was established in 1959 for the care of orphaned and vulnerable children both boys and girls from age 2 to 10 years. Their mission is to provide quality 24 hour residential care for the children with a focus on daily care, health care, education, sport, culture and spirituality.
St Thomas was in urgent need of a washing machine (12 to 15 kg) for their in-house laundry which operates 7 days a week from 8am to 4pm. The laundry cleans clothes and bedding for 55 children and wash loads amount to approximately 6 to 7 loads per day. The staff were particularly concerned about the opening of schools and the daily washing of school uniforms for their 40 primary school children.
Lead partnered with Hirschs and this commercial washer was delivered last month.
